Shikkara Ride

Timings: - 7am to 12noon or 2pm to 6 pm

Glide on a Shikkara, a traditional fishing boat over the serene backwaters. Let it transport you to a mystical world where time stands still. Watch the villagers at their traditional crafts untouched by modernization…. Coir making, farming, fishing and if you’re lucky, you’ll bump into local fishermen catching fish and shrimp with their bare hands.

Option One – Kumarakom round - Five Hours Package

Start the cruise from Kumarakom to Aymanam village, where you can see the house of arundhati roy booker prize winner on 1997. You will cross three canals to reach there (Kumarakom canal – manchira canal—karimatam canal)

Option Two – Allpuzha Round - Five Hours Package

Start the cruise from Kumarakom to Allapuzha canals, first destination will be R-block where you can have village sea food, after then you can see a old church (chitra canal, rani canal, marthanda canal),back to Kumarakom canal.

Option Three – Pathiramanal Round - Five Hours Package

Start the cruise from Kumarakom to Thanirmukkam, first destination will come muhama area with small canals, from there we will reach pathiramanl, then the cruise will start to thanirmukam where you can see the old british bridge, you will see vechur pally and then to Kumarakom bird sanctuary, touching a old church, by seeing a fish farm.
